Ability to make changes to more than 1 field at a time

Being able to shift-click a bunch of fields and click 'Hide Row' or modify other properties would be a good addition

Better Included CSS Styles

The included CSS styles are okay but, to be honest, most look like they are straight out of the DOS days. I'd like to have some more modern templates included with Alpha.

Option To Fix Column Heading While Grid Is Scrolled

It'd be great when you have a large number of fields displayed, to be able to scroll down the grid while the column titles remain fixed.

Alpha Five Cookbook

How about a cookbook that is chock-full of code recipes that address common programming tasks, as well as techniques for building web apps. Something that allows one (especially newbies) to copy and paste the code samples into a project. This would allow us to get a program done faster and reduce the learning curve in the process.

Freeze (first) column - just like the Excel Freeze Option

We have huge grids/ Repeating sections and when the user scrolls to the right he can no longer see the Row Label column(s). We would like to be able to freeze 1 - 3 columns into place as a row label, so that these columns can be seen no matter how much the user scrolls. Just fix them in place. I am not talking about the column tiles/headings, I know this has been done, but about the complete column with each cell in every ...more »

For SQL databases, default dropdowns to AlphaDAO

Many users now use SQL with a single connection string. So, on the Web Project Profiles property sheet, add a General option to default to AlphaDAO and that connection string. Now, property sheets for dropdowns and edit combos default to DBF. They should default to AlphaDAO and the named connection string.

Unbound Fields

The ability to add unbound fields in the same manner as unbound buttons. Having to add it to the select statement shouldnt be needed if its unbound. This would be a great advantage to calculated fields.

Web Grids - Containers, Frames and Tab Panes in Search and Grid

That's it - my whole suggestion. I would like to be able to use Containers, Frames and Tab Panes in both the Search part and Grid part. Among other benefits, the ability to use Show/Hide for groups of fields in the Search Part would be very useful.

Calendar / Scheduler V11

Having seen a sneak preview at the London Conference (thanks Alpha and Avanquest) please make this available on the desktop also. If the licencing issues make it an extra cost add on then so be it. It would be such a great feature in both the web and desktop arenas.

Dynamic Dropdown Filter

The lookup allows for a dynamic filter - which allows you to filter a lookup based on grid fields. This feature would be really nice to have in a dropdown.

Web - HTML Editor everywhere where HTML is accepted

In several places (Column Labels, Buttons, Menus) in fact it is possible to use Unicode text, but the editor does not allow Unicode input. You have to go somewhere else, type Unicode text, and then Copy and Paste the HTML code.

All these places should launch the HTML editor when clicked in the develpoment environement.
