1. Call a stored procedure with args to build the chart. (It partially works.) 2. Allow the SQL or stored procedure to sort the Chart. (Very hard to sort the chart the way you want it) or have a sorting override. 3. Expose all of the columns in the SP or SQL to put anywhere you want on the chart. 4. I'd like to see the Rows and Columns in the same position as on the report. Right now the ASCII file doesn't hold the position. So when I create the report and dump it to the ASCII file if I have text in Row 60 Column 71, I'd expect it to be in the ASCII file that way too.
So far this is the only thing that has stopped me. I need the report writer to have the ability to create true sub-reports.
Coming from Clarion & Crystal we have used this feature for over 10 years.
Modify bug submission to work with an online database and allow user access. It would be beneficial for users to be able to research and review these bugs online. (with associated info regarding status, workarounds & and patch date) If bug reporting was changed within a5 to accommodate this method, it would even reduce their work load. From the OnPrintInit area. I want to call a popup-window with check-boxes and then set these properties:
"Start Each Group on a New Page" (Yes or No)
"detail section" (Hide or Unhide)?
Hide the detail the report becomes a summary report. Unhide it and it becomes a detail report.
This way we only need to write one report and yet the user can choose if it is detial or summary, etc.
We have a number of applications with a billing component and quite often the line of text describing an item can be one, two, three or more lines long (we use rich text boxes which can grow and shrink accordingly) the problem is in an ideal world you would be able to anchor the numeric field with the charge for this line to the bottom of the text box wherever it appears rather than to the top which does not look at all ...more »
